Not cost effective

Sorry but no way. The cost is ridiculous & you have to pay again each year!! I can buy a recent but used hard copy online from eBay or Amazon for half the cost that I get to keep forever. I doubt THAT many new drugs are coming out that it is worth the yearly amendments.
Like another user said - if they made it so you could purchase the formulary outright then opt in/out of paying (a reasonable) amount for annual updates then I might be interested.
